SEMANTiCS conference celebrated its 10th anniversary this September in Leipzig. And this year’s venue has been capable of opening a new age for the Semantic Web in Europe – a marketplace for the next generation of semantic technologies was born.

SEMANTiCS 2014 celebrating its 10th anniversary
SEMANTiCS conference series will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year in September. SEMANTiCS (formerly known as I-Semantics) has had a long tradition in buidling bridges between practitioners and researchers in the areas of semantic web and linked data technologies. Therefore the SEMANTiCS consortium has developed new strucutures to further elaborate on this special character of this event series:
- Each conference session will combine talks from industry and research – those two interest groups won’t be seperated from each other anymore
- DBpedia community will be integrated deeply into SEMANTiCS conference: DBpedia has been the most successful activity in this area so far. A lot of industry-related projects has been built around this dataset. Therefore the 2nd meeting of the DBpedia association will be co-located with SEMANTiCS (taking place on September 3rd, also in Leipzig).
- Transfer-oriented side events and a centrally located market place will offer great opportunities to discuss about state-of-the-art technologies in the areas of Semantic Web standards based software and products.

3rd Triplification Challenge
Scope
I-SEMANTICS 2010 (www.i-semantics.at) is the 6th conference in the I-SEMANTICS series
and provides a forum for academic and industrial research & development that focuses on
semantic technologies and the Semantic Web. I-SEMANTICS 2010 will bring together both
researchers and practitioners in the areas of Linked Data, Social Software and the Semantic
Web in order to present and develop innovative ideas that help realising the “Social Semantic
Web” and the “Corporate Semantic Web”.
I-SEMANTICS 2010 will be the host of this year`s regional Pragmatic Web Conference as
well as the third edition of the TRIPLIFICATION Challenge. Further on I-SEMANTICS will
be complemented by I-KNOW (www.i-know.at), the 10th International Conference on
Knowledge Management. This setup is aiming to reflect the increasing importance and
convergence of knowledge management and semantic systems.
